Esta obra representa uma contribuição ao debate em torno das mudanças culturais em curso no mundo atual, um entendimento acerca do dilema existencial, frente ao mundo em que nos encontramos e para quais poderão ser os próximos rumos. Dirigido as novas gerações, o texto responde à questionamentos representativos da cultura vivida pela juventude atual, identificadas a partir de múltiplas transformações (na pele, na agressividade, sexuais e amorosas), marcas do espírito de contestação presente na cultura moderna. Bauman responde a essas provocações fazendo uma releitura de sua teoria acerca da modernidade líquida, deixando assim, como legado, em certa medida, um método de análise e alguns instrumentos que permitem ao leitor, compreender o sentido do mundo em que vive e projetar os rumos de sua história.

Abstract

This work represents a contribution to the debate around the cultural changes taking place in the world today, an understanding of the existential dilemma, facing the world we are in, and what the next course may be. Aimed at the new generations, the text responds to the questionings representative of the culture lived by the current youth, identified by multiple transformations (skin, aggressiveness, sexual and loving), marks of the spirit of contestation present in modern culture. Bauman responds to these provocations by re-reading his theory about liquid modernity, leaving as a legacy to some extent a method of analysis and some tools that allow the reader to understand the meaning of the world in which he lives and to design directions of its history.
