Resumo

A investigação matemática como proposta metodológica de ensino pode contribuir no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, pois pode fornecer ao professor elementos para desenvolver o espírito investigativo e criativos dos alunos, e a estes o prazer em aprender matemática de forma diferenciada. Muitos estudos têm sido desenvolvidos nos últimos anos sobre a investigação matemática em sala de aula. Assim, o propósito desse trabalho é discorrer sobre a investigação matemática e as contribuições da investigação matemática para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem em matemática. O caminho metodológico escolhido foi a pesquisa bibliográfica, na qual realizamos o levantamento de estudos que discorrem sobre o ensino de matemática por meio da investigação matemática. Tais estudos mostram as vantagens da investigação matemática e sua contribuição para o desenvolvimento matemático dos alunos, assim como o papel do aluno e do professor em uma aula de investigação matemática.

Abstract

Mathematical investigation as a methodological teaching proposal can contribute to the teaching and learning process, as it can provide the teacher with elements to develop the students' investigative and creative spirit, and for them the pleasure of learning mathematics in a different way. Many studies have been carried out in recent years on mathematical research in the classroom. Thus, the purpose of this work is to discuss mathematical research and the contributions of mathematical research to the teaching and learning process in mathematics. The methodological path chosen was the bibliographical research, in which we carried out a survey of studies that discuss the teaching of mathematics through mathematical investigation. Such studies show the advantages of mathematical investigation and its contribution to the mathematical development of students, as well as the role of the student and teacher in a mathematical investigation class.Keywords: Mathematics Education; Teaching of Mathematics; Mathematical Research.
