Instrumentos históricos antigos e suas indicações para ensino de Matemática: do que tratam as dissertações e teses (1990 a 2018)?

Ancient historical instruments and their indications for teaching mathematics: what are dissertations and theses about (1990 to 2018)?

Resumo

O artigo é uma pesquisa da pesquisa e apresenta como objeto de estudo, teses e dissertações em História da Matemática, que tratam sobre instrumentos históricos antigos. O objetivo é identificar e descrever estas pesquisas e suas contribuições para o ensino de conceitos matemáticos mediados pela História da Matemática. Os procedimentos metodológicos consistem em uma busca no Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, na Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações e em sites de Programas de Pós-Graduação. Foram identificadas e descritas oito pesquisas, sendo uma tese de doutorado e sete dissertações de mestrados acadêmicos e profissionais que envolveram estudos sobre instrumentos históricos antigos partindo de obras dos séculos XV, XVI e XVII abrangendo conceitos matemáticos de Aritmética, Geometria e Trigonometria.

Abstract

The article is the research of research and presents as an object of study, theses and dissertations in the History of Mathematics, which deal with ancient historical instruments. The objective is to identify and describe these researches and their contributions to the teaching of mathematical concepts guided by the History of Mathematics. The methodological procedures consist of a search in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations and websites of Postgraduate Programs. Eight types of researches were identified and described, including a doctoral thesis and seven dissertations from academic and professional master's degrees that talk about studies on ancient historical instruments based on works from the 15^th, 16^th, and 17^th centuries covering mathematical concepts of Arithmetic, Geometry and Trigonometry.
