O Projeto Político-Pedagógico e o Papel Social da Escola

Resumo

Os inúmeros problemas educacionais e o verdadeiro papel social que a escola vem desempenhando, são motivos de ampla discussão na sociedade hodierna. Urge, portanto, empreender um esforço coletivo para vencer as barreiras e entraves que inviabilizam a construçào de uma escola pública que eduque de fato para o exercício pleno da cidadania e seja instrumento real de transformaçào social. Na primeira parte do presente artigo, discutir-se-á a natureza e a especificidade da ação educativa, a estrutura e o funcionamento da escola, enfocando-se, em seguida, o projeto político-pedagógico como instrumento teórico-metodológico que pode contribuir para a construção de um novo projeto de escola.

The innumerable educational problems and the role that the public school exercises" within the community are reasons for a wide discussion in today's society. It is therefore necessary to undertake a collective effort to overcome the barriers and impediments that make impracticable the construction of a school that truly educates for the full exercise of citizenship and that is also a real instrument for social transformation. In the first part of the present article, it will be presented the nature and the specifics of education, the structure and the functioning of the school focusing, after that, on a political and pedagogical project for the construction of a new school project.
