Physical education and attacks on education: challenges emerging from teaching in contemporary time

Resumo

Este artigo discute os desafios que emergem da docência no contexto escolar, identificando as dificuldades encontradas por professores de educação física (EF) e como eles se articulam no contexto atual. Caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa, que utilizou a entrevista semiestruturada como instrumento de investigação. A pesquisa contou com a contribuição de oito colaboradores professores de EF. Para a análise dos dados, utilizamos a análise temática. Infere-se que a prática pedagógica de professores de EF tem apresentado fragilidades decorrentes das condições e possibilidades de intervenção. Necessita, portanto, ser constantemente revisitada, refletida e ressignificada diante dos ataques à educação e, por conseguinte, à própria EF no contexto escolar.

AbstractThis article discusses on the challenges that emerge from teaching in the school context, identifying difficulties encountered by physical education (PE) teachers and how they articulated in the current context. It is characterized as a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, which used the semi-structured interview like investigation instrument. The research had eight collaborators PE teachers. To the data analysis, we use the thematic analysis. It is inferred, therefore, that the pedagogical practice of PE teachers has shown weaknesses arising from the conditions and possibilities of intervention, and therefore needs to be constantly revisited, reflected and reframed, especially in face of attacks on education and the PE at the school.Keywords: Physical education; Teaching; Contemporaneity.
