Tracking the connections between the curricular policy of the state of Pará and the modern/colonial world-system

Resumo

Neste artigo pretendo rastrear as relações de poder expressas no processo de elaboração da política curricular do Estado do Pará. O aporte teórico-metodológico conta com as contribuições do giro decolonial e dos estudos curriculares, sendo a etnografia multilocal um método emergente para a análise de documentos no sistema-mundo contemporâneo (MARCUS, 2001). Os resultados informam que o DCEPará resultou de conexões políticas externas e internas, expressas nos acordos políticos que afiançaram os interesses da economia-mundo no país. Contudo, a aprovação do Documento Curricular do Estado do Pará se deu em meio a ações de resistência e de insurgência, em razão dos agentes da sociedade civil organizada considerarem o documento mercadológico, ilegítimo e antidemocrático.

Abstract

In this paper, I intend to trace the power relations expressed in the process of elaborating the curricular policy of the State of Pará. The theoretical-methodological contribution counts on the contribution of the de colonial turn and curricular studies, with multilocal ethnography being an emerging method for document analysis. In the contemporary world-system (MARCUS, 2001). The results inform that the DCEPará  resulted from externals and internal political connections, expressed in the political agreements that secured the interests of the world economy in the country. However, the approval of the Curricular Document of the State of pará took place amidst actions of resistance and insurgency, due to the fact that organized civil society agents considered the marketing document to be illegitimate and anti-democratic.
