O Efeito de Vídeos Educativos e a Preferência Alimentar de Alunos de uma Escola Pública
The Effect of Educational Videos and the Food Preference of Students at a Public School

Abstract
The food preferences of 24 elementary school students from a public school were evaluated under the exposure to nutritional education videos. A preference test with photos of healthy and unhealthy foods and drinks was applied before (pre-test) and after (post-test 1) the video sessions, with a retest seven days later (post-test 2). These data were correlated with Body Mass Index (BMI), TV watching time, anthropometric measurements, gender, and the experimental conditions of the video presentations. Results showed a significant increase in preference for healthy foods after the exposure to the videos, however, this effect was considered temporary after seven days.
