A theoretical study on school inclusion of children with autism from the perspective of Historical-Cultural Psychology

Resumo

Neste artigo apresenta-se a abordagem histórico-cultural de Vygotsky em suas contribuições para a inclusão escolar de crianças com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). Buscou-se analisar como a Psicologia histórico-cultural pode contribuir na compreensão do autismo, bem como apresentar como o processo de inclusão é construído, desvendar a atuação do psicólogo no ambiente escolar e apresentar os conceitos fundamentais da abordagem. Os dados da análise foram encontrados em pesquisas bibliográficas, nas plataformas digitais SciELO e Google Acadêmico. Foram selecionados 13 artigos, 1 tese e 1 dissertação com temáticas a respeito do autismo e de como se dá a inclusão escolar dessas crianças, entre os meses de setembro e novembro de 2021. Constatou-se que o tema não possui muitas discussões diretamente à área de psicologia e sim da área pedagógica. Conclui-se que a abordagem histórico-cultural possibilita métodos que favorecem a integração escolar e aprendizagem relevante para a criança autista.

Abstract

In this article, presented Vygotsky’s historical-cultural approach in his contributions to the school inclusion of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We sought to analyze how cultural-historical psychology can contribute to the understanding of autism, as well as to present how the inclusion process is constructed, to unveil the role of the psychologist in the school environment and to present the fundamental concepts of the approach. The analysis data were found in bibliographic research, on the digital platforms SciELO and Google Academic. Fifteen articles were selected with themes about autism and how the school inclusion of these children takes place, between the months of September and November 2021. It was contacted that the topic does not have many discussions directly in the area of ​​psychology. It is concluded that the cultural-historical approach enables methods that favor school integration and relevant learning for the autistic child.
