Resumo

A saúde mental infantil é central na psicologia, exigindo instrumentos de qualidade para psicodiagnóstico e inclusão em processos terapêuticos. Testes de Apercepção Infantil são utilizados na identificação de processos psíquicos. A revisão analisou sua aplicabilidade e relevância. A partir do PRISMA, foram revisados estudos da PubMed, APA, Web of Science, Scopus e Embase. Resultados foram organizados em três categorias: conteúdo das respostas e criatividade, representação parental e características de personalidade e psicopatologias. Achados indicam que os CATs são relevantes para avaliação, oferecendo insights sobre desenvolvimento emocional e vínculos familiares. A revisão contribui metodologicamente para a pesquisa, reforçando a necessidade de estudos padronizados e culturalmente sensíveis. Conclui-se que seu uso deve ser contextualizado em uma abordagem integrativa da saúde mental.

Abstract

Child mental health is central in psychology, requiring quality instruments for psychodiagnosis and inclusion in therapeutic processes. Child Apperception Tests are used to identify psychological processes. This review analyzed their applicability and relevance. Following PRISMA, studies from PubMed, APA, Web of Science, Scopus, and Embase were reviewed. Results were categorized into response content and creativity, parental representation, and personality characteristics and psychopathologies. Findings indicate CATs are relevant for assessment, providing insights into emotional development and family bonds. The review contributes methodologically to research, reinforcing the need for standardized and culturally sensitive studies. Their use should be contextualized within an integrative mental health approach.
